Material

Waxed cotton is a durable, long-lasting fabric that has been infused with a blend of waxes and oils. Our wax cottons have a traditional waxy handle finish, crafted to help protect you against the elements. It might initially have a somewhat stiff feel to begin with but it will crease, mark, soften and flex with wear creating it’s own unique soft and aged patina.

The material is naturally breathable that adjusts to the ambient temperature, so it gets softer and more breathable in warm weather and stiffer and more wind resistant in cold conditions.

Our waxed cotton is from Halley Stevensons based in Dundee, they use responsibly sourced cotton and low impact manufacturing processes. These waxed cottons are designed to be re-waxed using a traditional wax dressing, our customer service team can also recommend a re-waxing service on request.
